26. HIGHLY ADVANCED & OLDEST CIVILIZATION

We all have heard about Ramayana & Mahabharata in our childhood. They seem like fairy tales to someone, someone thinks that actually happened. People think that there were Gods and all. But when I was a child I always had a doubt about these stories. We read about Gandhi, Nehru, Mother Teresa in our childhood, and how good they were. But when I grew up I came to know something else about them. Don’t you think that our history, the way we know it, is actually a modified version?

Okay, now let me get back to Ramayana & Mahabharata. We have seen the Ramayana through images and videos in TVs, or only read about them. They seem to us like very basic people, no technology inventions, we think of them as like they had nothing and they were just ordinary people. But I believe it's not the case.

Let me give an example. I have seen some movies based on apocalypses & disasters. It's the year 2050 or sometimes it's 2099. What actually happened is that humans caused these disasters and now the huge percentage of humans are dead. Some have survived. Now, think about it, after these disasters, the technologies are destroyed, data is destroyed. Books, on the base of which we built our civilization, are also destroyed. Now the survivors got old, they have kids and now they tell their kids and grandkids that you know we used to have cars, planes, guns and all. And their kids are like what is a car? And their parents explain it to them. Kids can only dream if that was real or their parents are superstitious or just hallucinating. Parents tell their kids, and kids to their kids and so on, and as this knowledge (without any solid proof) keeps forwarding from one generation to the next generation it starts to fade and some day it fades completely. So, how would someone invent a new thing if every base is destroyed? Exactly, you have to start from the scratch. It will be like a new world now won’t it?

Similarly, Ramayan and Mahabharat have sages (Rishis), kings, magic (not actually) & Vimana (Planes, yes  seriously). You think of them only as you have heard of them. We see things as we are not as they are. I believed these all things actually existed.

Magic - I would like to mention a quote from Arthur C. Clarke - Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” Yes. If you ask a caveman what a mobile is, do you think he can answer that? No. Suppose you go back in time, far far far back, and you use your mobile in front of people of that time. Do you know what they would think? They wouldn’t think about it as a tech rather than magic or god. So, what you think of as magic, that wasn’t. There was highly advanced tech in every yuga. Even sanskrit I think is not just a human made language, it was given to us by extraterrestrials. You will never be able to know about it. Indra’s vajra, Shiva’s trident, Vishnu’s chakra or brahmastra they all were very hitech weapons, not some magic weapons. There is a lot of misinterpretation of the facts.

Sages (Rishis) - When we think or hear of a sage, we get this picture in our mind of a person wearing saffron clothes, a pair of wooden sandals, kamandal in their hand and you know you have them in TV shows and books. But they were not just that. They were kind of scientists. If people were unable to have kids, these sages used to give them an apple. After that they were able to have children. It seems illogical when we hear but it was not just an ordinary apple. They had access to the secrets of Vedas. One of them is Atharva-Veda which contains “Knowledge of the Magic formulas”. As I already mentioned above that technology was misunderstood as magic, but it wasn’t. It was all science. They knew walking bare feet on the floor affects us in some way and that is why they used to wear khadau. (Check the chapter-14 for the reason) There were many things we know these days as stories, which actually existed as science, not magic.

Planes (Vimana) - People say that the first plane was invented and flown by the Wright brothers in 1903. But that is not the truth. As I mentioned above, as the previous civilizations were extinct, we lost the knowledge of hindu culture. We have seen in Ramayana, how Ravana used to fly in his Pushpaka Vimana (Plane). Yes. It was already there. I have also read that those Vimanas were body movement operated. For example, if you just wave your hand to steer left or right, or instruct from eye movement to do something else and so on. Vimana topic was there in Veda itself, and later it was separated and a new book was created named “Vaimanika Shastra”. Some of our buildings or other objects in the present day are imitations of what those people may have witnessed in the past. Indian culture is full of knowledge and secrets which people ignore as myth and stories.

Weapons - We also have seen fights in Mahabharata and Ramayana. Soldiers used arrows. Some of the weapons were used in critical situations or at a special enemy. Such weapons were Brahmastra, Vajra & Trident of shiva. When their arrows collide with each other, a light appears and then one arrow disappears. Did just an ordinary arrow have the power to do that? No, of course not. Brahmastra is said to be the most powerful and deadly weapon which has the power to destroy the world. The word ‘World’ they used is actually too much, I know, but how do we know that it was not true? Not the world, but maybe earth or some part or some population on the earth could be destroyed with brahmastra. Just like nuclear bombing. Yeah.

Not very long ago, some civilizations had the technologies we use in modern times. For instance, Egypt pyramids shows a wall painting in which Egyptians are using light bulbs. Isn’t it so shocking yet exciting?

Summary: So, there were many things already in that 3 yugas (See chapter 5). Which we think of as stories or just myths. But that was not the case. They existed as pure science. The way we came forward in yugas or in time, the old knowledge was lost. Yeah. It is like you are old now, but when you were younger you have achieved, done and experienced things. And now the younger people boast in front of you like you don’t know anything.
